Digital creativity and mental healing rooted in diverse community
Content and services supported / recognised by

Mental Roots bridges the worlds of visual arts, the mental health sector and education, to bring hope to ethnically diverse youth.

Birthed through the powerful medium of animation, we work with schools, families, colleges, charities and businesses to improve mental wellbeing and self-esteem in youth and young adults.

We achieve the above through delivering creative sessions, talks, courses, collaborative projects and original media content.
We have a particular specialism in (though not restricted to) supporting children and young people of global-majority backgrounds (e.g. African, Caribbean, Asian, mixed heritage etc.).
"Seeing the pupils engage in open conversation and share their lived experiences... was heart-warming."
